Empathy Home Care offers a range of services to ensure the health, comfort, and safety of each resident; these services include, 24- hour nursing care, Monitoring of Medication, Personal Care (includes dressing, bathing, and toilet assistance), social and recreational activities, Dietitian services (Speciality food preparation for persons with special dietary needs), laundry, Medical doctor visit at the home.

Whether you are travelling out of town, in need of a break from the demands that care-giving can require, or seeking temporary assistance following surgery or rehabilitation, we offer short-term programs in a safe, comfortable, and caring environment. Relax and rest assured that your loved one is being cared for. Short term assistance receives the same high level of services and care as our long-term assistance, and they have access to all of our life enrichment programs, as well as three locally sourced meals a day.
Hospice care
Our dedicated professional team strives to support our patients and their family members whenever life presents the most significant challenges. We can initiate hospice care for you or your loved one. Because every patient is different, the challenges and needs will also be different. Our caregivers help create personalized care plans, set individual goals, and manage pain and symptoms.
When to Consider Hospice Care
Hospice is a special way of caring for people with a terminal illness. Knowing when to schedule a hospice evaluation can be difficult. Some signs that may indicate potential eligibility for hospice care are:
Unplanned weight loss
Excessive sleeping throughout the day
Multiple hospital visits / stays in the past six months
Excessive swelling of the legs and ankles, even when feet are propped up
Difficulty breathing, even at rest or with increased oxygen levels
Weakness during activities of daily living
Frequent changes in medications
Pain that is poorly controlled
Loss of interest in activities
Not "bouncing back" after an illness
Not responding to current treatments or therapy
Loss of appetite
Confusion
Wounds that aren't healing
Loss of speech
Infections
Trouble sleeping due to pain, shortness of breath or other symptoms
Rehabilitation Services
Therapy for Stroke victims, accident survivors, post-surgery
Physical Therapy
Our Physical Therapists will work with individuals to start the journey to recovery. The ultimate goal is to return patients to optimum physical functioning so they can return to their normal life.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists help those individuals who have reduced functioning in the activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, grooming, etc. The goal is to enable the patient to regain the skills necessary to live safely in their own home.
